Beneath your feet, just under the surface, you feel it: the city’s living pulse. Its layers bleed together, growing into a monolithic, multisensory white noise. Behind dark doors, something new awaits. You feel the pulse move through you, humming in your bones, igniting in your blood. You are now a part of this vast, breathing, living body.

Translating this hallucinatory vision into a deep, smoky obsidian purple, Hemlock welcomes you into the strange, electric night. It wears like a whispered incantation, a richly-hued secret drawn from the darkest shadows of the nocturnal sublime.

The Enchanted Lip Sheer Formula

Inspired by ancient botanicals, Enchanted Lip Sheer is a highly moisturizing sheer lipstick formula that holds translucent yet vibrant color. Its beautifully buildable pigmentation is remarkably lightweight; even in a deep, dark, opulent shade like Hemlock, it feels like a comfortably long-wearing balm on the lips.

How to Wear

  • For a defined look: Apply directly from the bullet, using the pointed end to sharpen and define the edges of the lips.
  • For a diffused finish: Tap the color onto the lips with the tip of your finger to blur the edges for a soft, lived-in stain.

    This color is absolutely gorgeous. It's dark and deep, but still gives you the option to sheer it out for a jewel toned berry blush.

    Lips Like Poison

    Hemlock is a gorgeous, mysterious, deep, dark, inky purple. The color reminds me of the original Christian Dior Poison perfume bottle. It may not be for everyone, but I also really, really enjoy the herbal/earthy scent of all of the Rituel de Fille products. It conjures up a feeling of walking through an enchanted forest, and that magical vibe is a part of the experience of wearing RdF colors. I find that the Lip Sheers are less drying than the Forbidden Lipsticks, so I prefer the Lip Sheers. This one looks more like a lipstick when it's on, though - the color is strong and packs an immediate punch. I prefer to use a lip liner with this one to keep the color tidy - a clear liner works well.

    Dark nights…

    I love this color! As I had not experienced any skipping on previous Enchanted Lip Sheers, I did with this for the first time. But the shade of dark purple-red is just the vibe I needed for my warm wintery look. Thanks RdF!
